Divitto Earns ACC Co-Linebacker of the Week honors

Boston College senior middle linebacker Steele Divitto has earned Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Linebacker of the Week honors with Duke's Kelby Brown, according to a league announcement made on Monday.
Divitto recorded a game-high 18 tackles, including six solo tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss, in the Eagles' 48-34 win at New Mexico State. His tackling total marked a season high and equaled his career best, which he achieved against Army in 2012.
Divitto has registered 80 tackles, including 34 solo tackles, through nine games in 2013 and ranks third among ACC leaders in average tackles per game with 8.9. A 6-foot-2, 237-pound product of Ridgefield, Conn., he has recorded 264 career tackles, including 133 solo tackles, in 44 games. He is tied for second among all ACC active players in career tackles behind teammate Kevin Pierre-Louis (333).
Boston College (5-4, 2-3 ACC) is back in action on Saturday, Nov. 16 against NC State at 12:30 p.m. The game will be televised by the ACC Regional Sports Network and marks the team's final home game of 2013.
