Williams, Workman Earn Eagle of the Week Honors

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Senior Andre Williams (football) and sophomore Katty Workman (volleyball) were named Eagles of the Week for their efforts on the field and court last week.

Williams rushed 35 times for a career-high 204 yards and a touchdown in BC's 24-10 win over Wake Forest on Friday night at Alumni Stadium, marking his second straight 100+-yard rushing performance this season and the seventh of his 36-game collegiate career. He earned ACC Offensive Back of the Week honors for his performance. Williams' 204 yards against the Demon Deacons ranks 12th on the school's all-time list. Through two games, the senior running back leads the ACC in rushing attempts (58), rushing yards (318) and yards per game (159.0). Williams ranks fourth among all running backs in the nation in rushing yards per game.

Workman sparked the volleyball team to a 3-0 record and the Boston College Invitational title over the weekend. She totaled a match-high 22 kills in the championship match against Hampton. She recorded 10 kills, three digs and only one error on 13 swings in just one set against Bryant. Workman had 14 kills against Fairfield with only five errors on 34 attempts and 19 digs. Workman earned the title of All-Tournament MVP at the Invitational.

The football team (2-0, 1-0 ACC) travels to Los Angeles to take on USC on Saturday while the volleyball team (5-2) will play three matches in the Columbia Invitational over the weekend.
