Follow The Football Eagles On Gameday
Aug 30, 2013
The Boston College football team will attend a pregame Mass at Gasson Hall on gameday and, upon its conclusion, will walk from Gasson Hall (middle campus) through O'Neill Plaza, down the Higgins staircase and into the Yawkey Center (lower campus), forming its new gameday Eagle Walk route which will be implemented for the first time this Saturday morning prior to kick off against Villanova and will continue throughout the Eagles' 2013 home season, according to an announcement made by Head Coach Steve Addazio.
The bells in Gasson Hall tower will ring to signify the conclusion of Mass and the beginning of the Eagle Walk. Mass will be celebrated by Vice President for University Mission and Ministry, Fr. Jack Butler, S.J. and by Director of Campus Ministry Fr. Tony Penna. The team's walk from middle campus to the Yawkey Center, its football home, will begin around 10:10 a.m. The football Eagles will be dressed in coat and tie and will be met and escorted to the Yawkey Center by the Boston College marching band and cheerleaders.
