CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Day two of Boston College's 2011 preseason football preseason camp is complete.
The team's itinerary was similar to the day prior to - a morning walk through followed by an afternoon practice.
Boston College hosts Northwestern in its season opener on Saturday, Sept. 3 at 12 p.m. There are 25 days to season's kickoff.
Stephen Boyd '94 One of 12 ACC Legends In Class of 2011
Former Boston College linebacker Stephen Boyd has been named one of 12 members to the Atlantic Coast Conference's Class of 2011 Game Legends, according to a league announcement on Tuesday.
Boyd and the group that constitute the Class of 2011 will be honored on Friday, Dec. 2 at the ACC Night of Legends at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C., and will receive further recognition the next night at the Dr. Pepper ACC Football Championship game which is scheduled to kickoff at 8 p.m.
Boyd is a 1994 Boston College graduate who twice captured All-Big East honors - in 1993 and 1994 - and helped lead the Eagles to three consecutive bowl appearances - the 1993 Hall of Fame Bowl, the 1994 Carquest Bowl and the 1994 Jeep-Eagle Aloha Bowl.
He went on to play seven seasons with Detroit in the NFL and ranks third in tackles (773) among all Lions in franchise history. Boyd was a two-time Pro Bowl selection.
The Valley Stream, N.Y., native was inducted into BC's Varsity Club Hall of Fame in 2006.
