CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.-- The Boston College football team's game against the
University of Connecticut on October 7 will be televised by the New England
Sports Network (NESN) at noon. The Eagles will now have all 11 games
televised during the 2000 season. In addition to the cable broadcast on
NESN, games will be featured on ESPN, NBC, ESPN Regional and Fox Sports Net,
giving the Eagles exposure on national and regional outlets.
All four of the games in September will be televised. For the second
consecutive season, Boston College's opening game will be televised on ESPN,
as the Eagles travel to West Virginia on September 2. The game at Army on
September 9 will appear on Fox Sports Net. Boston College's home opener
against Navy on September 23 will be featured on ESPN Regional Television as
part of the BIG EAST Game of the Week package.
League matchups at home against Syracuse (October 14), Rutgers (October
28), and Temple (November 4), and the road contest at Pittsburgh (October
21), will be featured on ESPN Regional Television. The Eagles will be
featured on NBC when the team travels to Notre Dame on November 11. Boston
College's games against Virginia Tech (September 30) and at Miami (November
25) will be televised with details to be announced later in the season.
