BC's efforts have already netted close to $200,000 in its first two years to benefit Ewing's sarcoma, a rare bone cancer that affects children.

The Boston College chapter chose Ewing's sarcoma in honor of their former teammate Mark Herzlich, who was diagnosed with the rare disease two years ago. Herzlich has since been declared cancer free, returned to the field this past season and hopes to continue his football career in the NFL this upcoming year.

"Lift For Life" is open to the public with a suggested donation of $5 per student or child and $10 per adult.

Parking will be available in the garage adjacent to Alumni Stadium and Gate E will be open for fans to enter the event. Donations can also be made in advance and credited to your favorite player's fundraising total by going to the following website: Fans will have a chance to meet and get autographs from current and former members of the Boston College football team.
