On Saturday, April 27, 2002 Boston College Athletics and the Boston College Alumni Association presented Family Fun Day and the Jay McGillis Memorial Spring Football Game. Several thousand fans and families turned out for the festivities around campus which included Family Fun Day at the Plex, doubleheader baseball and softball games versus St. John's and Notre Dame respectively and the Jay McGillis Memorial Spring Football Game. The football game featured the intra-squad Maroon versus White game, Jay McGillis Scholarship Presentation, Iron Men spring practice recognition and QuinWell Travel Field Goal Contest. For those who ventured up to middle campus, the Arts Council and Community Affairs Office were hosting the final day of the 4th Annual Arts Festival.
Boston College Athletics and the Boston College Alumni Association thank Coca-Cola, Dunkin' Donuts, EA Sports, Hood, Nextel, QuinWell Travel, WEEI Sports Radio, Boston College Bookstore, Boston College Concessions, the McGillis family, the athletes and the many volunteers who contributed to the success of the day!
