CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Quarterbacks Brian St. Pierre (sophomore) and Kevin Kiley (redshirt freshman) will be showcased in Saturday's Jay McGillis Memorial Spring Football Game at Boston College's Alumni Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Admission is free.

The young quarterbacks have shared snaps in each of two scrimmages during spring drills, which began March 18 and culminate with Saturday's game. Through two scrimmages, St. Pierre has completed 25 of 49 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns, Kiley has completed 17 of 37 passes for 206 yards. Senior quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, who started 11 of 12 games last season, has been sidelined during spring drills after undergoing groin surgery earlier this year.

The game also will give fans a look at a BC offense that returns returns seven starters from last season's 8-4 squad, including senior running back Cedric Washington, who rushed for more than 1,000 yards as a junior. Washington has not disappointed thus far - through two scrimmages, he has carried the ball 38 times for 208 yards and a touchdown. He is joined in the backfield by a pair of talented youngsters - sophomore William Green, who had an outstanding freshman campaign rushing and returning kicks, and redshirt freshman Derrick Knight, who has carried 27 times for 123 yards through two spring scrimmages.

The Eagles return 30 lettermen, including 13 starters, from last year's 8-4 squad that finished the regular season in the Top 25 and advanced to the Insight.com Bowl. The team opens the 2000 season with a Sept. 2 game at West Virginia.
