Football Competes In First Spring Scrimmage

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Junior running back William Green rushed 23 times for 89 yards today in Boston College's intrasquad scrimmage of spring practice at Alumni Stadium. Sophomore Derrick Knight carried the ball 18 times and rushed for 72 yards, as the Eagles prepare for the annual spring game.

Junior quarterback Brian St. Pierre completed 22 of 41 passes for 218 yards and two touchdowns for the day, committing only two interceptions. Sophomore Kevin Kiley competed five of 13 for 59 yards and had one interception.

Leading the receivers, junior Keith Hemmings caught four passes for 56 yards. Senior Dedrick Dewalt had a big day, also catching four passes for 52 yards and two touchdowns.

The Eagles will play the annual Jay McGillis Spring Football Game on Saturday, April 21, at 1:00 p.m. The event is free to the public.
