Williams honored at Doak Walker Banquet in Dallas

DALLAS, Texas - Former Boston College football star Andre Williams, an All-American who earned the 2013 Doak Walker Award given to the nation's premier collegiate running back, was honored by the organization at its annual awards banquet on Thursday at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.
Williams was one of two honorees that were formally acknowledged by the organization during two days of events.
Floyd Little, a three-time All-America selection for Syracuse who went on to a successful career with the Denver Broncos in the National Football League, received the PwC Doak Walker Legends Award.
Williams and Little were recognized at the organization's kickoff party held Wednesday on the top floor - the GeoDeck - of Reunion Tower during which time an official Doak Walker Award trophy is presented to the recipients school.
The Doak Walker Award Presentation Banquet was held within th eChantilly Ballroom of the Hilton Anatole. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso served as hosts for the evening for the 10th year in succession.
