2006 Boston College Football Signees

The Boston College Football team announced its 20 signees for 2006 today, a group that includes players from ten different states as well as ten from New England.

The Eagles picked up eight offensive players, including quarterbacks Bill Flutie (Natick HS/Natick Mass.), and Ross Applegate (Walton HS/Marietta, Ga.) Four likely targets for the two quarterbacks were also picked up, with wide receivers Justin Jarvis (Northwest Catholic/Bloomfield, Conn.), Ryan Lindsey (Don Bosco Prep/Mahwah, N.J.), Warren Wilson (New Hampton Prep/Lawrence, Mass.) and highly touted tight end Jordon McMichael (Breck School/Eden Prairie, Minn.) joining the Eagles.

Local running back Jeff Smith (Silver Lake HS/Plympton Mass.) and 6 ft. 8 in. offensive lineman Richard Lapham (Souhegan HS/Amherst N.H.) round out the offensive signees.

The Eagles bolstered their defense, signing a strong core of linebackers, with Alex Albright (Saint Xavier HS/Cincinnati, Ohio), Darius Bagan (Queen of Peace HS/Wallington, N.J.), Mark Herzlich (Conestoga HS/Wayne, Penn.), and James McCluskey (Billerica HS/Billerica, Mass.).

Four athletic defensive backs were also added, including safety Wes Davis (Steele Canyon HS/El Cajon, Calif.), and Roderick Rollins (Dallas Skyline HS/Dallas, Texas). Local products Chris Fox (Xaverian Brothers/Westwood, Mass.) and Reshaude Goodwyn (Natick HS/Natick, Mass.) were also added in the secondary.

Defensive lineman signees include Thomas Claiborne (Wellesley HS/Randolph Mass.), Josh Neubert (North Penn HS/Hatfield Penn.) and Damik Scafe (Windsor HS/Windsor Conn.). Long snapper Jack Geiser (Jesuit College Prep/Dallas, Texas) will also join the Eagles.
