Two former Boston College football players - offensive lineman Augie Hoffmann and quarterback Brian St. Pierre - have been named head football coach at each of their respective high schools this week.

Hoffmann, a 2003 Boston College graduate, was named head coach at his alma mater St. Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, N.J. While at BC, Hoffmann served as team captain of the 2003 Eagle football team and earned the Scanlan Award as the top senior student-athlete.

St. Pierre, a 2002 Boston College graduate, was named head coach at his alma mater St. John's Prep in Danvers, Mass. While at BC, he earned the Scanlan Award as the top senior student-athlete and served as captain of the 2002 Eagle football squad. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fifth round in 2003, and also played for the Baltimore Ravens, Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers.
