2002 Season
Pressed into action after injuries in the Virginia Tech game depleted the defensive line…one of four Eagle true freshmen to see playing time in 2002…finished the season with 15 tackles (11 solos), 3 TFLs and 2 quarterback sacks…also had 5 quarterback hurries on the year…two solos and two QB hurries in Navy game…three solos, one quarterback pressure vs. Pittsburgh…three tackles (two solos) in BC’s win at fourth-ranked Notre Dame…one solo, one quarterback hurry vs. West Virginia…three tackles (two solos), two TFLs, one of which was a sack, against Syracuse…three tackles (one solo), two quarterback hurries and a sack against Temple.

Earned 2001 All-America honors from USA Today, Parade, PrepStar and SuperPrep...named Gatorade Player of the Year for Massachusetts...was a three-year Lynn Item All-Star selection and a three-time All-Northeastern Conference honoree...was a 2000 and 2001 Boston Globe All-Scholastic choice and 2001 Boston Herald All-Scholastic honoree...played for head coach Terry Silva...led the Fishermen to a 40-3 record during his schoolboy career; GHS won the 2000 Division 3 Super Bowl title...served as the captain of the East team in the annual U.S. Army All-American football all-star game that was played in Alama Stadium in San Antonio, Texas in January 2002...also starred on Gloucester’s track and field team; was a two-time state discus champion (2001 and 2002)...holds the school record in the discus (178’10”).
