At BC: After a successful 1998 season, Rowe hopes to fill the void left by Mike Cloud's graduation...athletic ability will allow him to be an explosive force on offense...finished a fine spring by rushing for 89 yards on 19 carries and one touchdown in the spring game.

1998 Season: Played in six games, mostly on special teams...was the Eagles' top kickoff returner; averaging 19.9 yards per kick return...escaped for a season-long 41-yard return against Pittsburgh...posted 157 all-purpose yards against Syracuse (139 return yards, 18 rushing yards)...in his first full season as a running back, he had four rushing attempts, gaining 21 yards...carried three times for 18 yards against Syracuse...longest rush of the season was seven yards against the Orangemen...ran once for three yards against Louisville.

1997 Season: Had a successful first year as a starter, recording 24 tackles and two interceptions...recorded one blocked punt -- in the second quarter of the Eagles' 22-21 come-from-behind win over Pittsburgh...registered seven stops at Virginia Tech...made five tackles against both Georgia Tech and Rutgers.

1996 Season: Earned a varsity monogram by playing with special teams units in 10 of the Eagles' 12 games.

High School: Earned All-County, All-Long Island and All-League honors as a senior tailback...was a Blue Chip Illustrated All-Region selection...also earned All-State third team recognition...gained 1,067 yards on 99 carries as a senior; scored 24 touchdowns...made 39 tackles and recovered two fumbles on the defensive side of the ball...was the runner-up for the Hansen Award as Suffolk County's Player of the Year...earned Offensive MVP honors in the PAL/Suffolk County All-Star Game...played for head coach Richard Cariddi...played in the 1996 Boomer Esiason-Long Island All-Star Game...an outstanding trackster who won the 1995 Outdoor National triple jump title; jumped 50'3 1/2"...had the nation's second-best triple jump in 1995-96, 50' 2 3/4".

Personal: Carlton Jasper Rowe, born September 25, 1978...enrolled as a sociology major in the College of Arts & Sciences...Carlton is the youngest of Helen and David Rowe's three children.
