A reserve on the defensive line who played in 11 games and made 31 tackles...had a career-high 11 tackles at Notre Dame (Nov. 11) and also made nine at Pittsburgh (Oct. 21)?made seven tackles in the Aloha Bowl win over Arizona State with a sack and a fumble recovery.

1999 Season
Saw action in all 12 games...registered 13 tackles, nine of which were unassisted, had one sack, and broke up two passes...notched first sack of career in the Northeastern game...recorded five tackles in BC debut against Baylor...had five tackles (one solo) in spring game.

1998 Season

High School
Earned All-America honors from SuperPrep magazine during his senior season at Patchogue-Medford High School; also captured USA Today All-America honorable mention accolades...was an all-state and all-Long Island selection...received the Hansen Award as the Suffolk County MVP...made 86 tackles as a senior; also had three interceptions and one fumble recovery...led his team to an 11-0 record and the 1997 Long Island championship...made 160 stops as a junior...played for head coach Bob Sconone...was also a member of his school's basketball and baseball teams.

Derric Rossy, born July 2, 1980...enrolled in the Lynch School of Education with a major in human development...Derric is the third of Carmen and Carlos Rossy's four children.
