Started all 11 games for the Eagles on the defensive line, with 10 starts on the right start and one on the left…also started the Music City Bowl vs. Georgia…now has 17 career starts over the past two seasons plus one bowl game…was the seventh-leading tackler on the team with 55 stops, 34 of them were primary…also recorded five tackles for a loss…had nine tackles in game at Navy (Sept. 22) and also had seven stops in season-opener against West Virginia (Sept. 1)…recorded six tackles against Virginia Tech (Oct. 13), Miami (Nov. 10) and Syracuse (Nov. 24)…had three tackles in Music City Bowl vs. Georgia.
Started five games on the Eagle defensive line...made 28 tackles this season, four of them for a loss...had a career-high nine tackles vs. Pittsburgh (Oct. 21)…also made nine tackle in Aloha Bowl win over Arizona State…added three sacks for 22 yards and one tackle for a loss of two yards vs. the Sun Devils.
Earned all-state honors as a junior and senior at Howell High School…was also a two-time all-Shore selection…was rated as the fourth-best prospect in New Jersey by SuperPrep; a SuperPrep All-America who was rated as the ninth-best defensive lineman in the nation…earned PrepStar All-Region accolades…was the 1998 recipient of the Lombardi Award as the top defensive lineman in the Shore Conference…registered 29 tackles for loss and 12.5 quarterback sacks in 1998, both single-season Howell High School records…served as team captain for head coach Corey Davies.
