The second-leading receiver for the Eagles with 25 receptions for 320 yards and a team-high eight touchdowns?has played in 33 career games plus three bowl games for the Eagles?had four receptions against both Army (Sept. 29) and Temple (Oct. 6)?also had three receptions vs. Navy (Sept. 22)?had a stretch with six TD receptions in a five-game period?made three receptions for 45 yards against Notre Dame (Oct. 27), including a 21-yarder for the game-winning touchdown?had two touchdown receptions at Virginia Tech (Oct. 13)?had two receptions for 14 yards in win over Georgia in Music City Bowl?was also the primary kickoff returner for the Eagles with 24 returns for an average of 21.0 yards and a long of 38 against Miami (Nov. 10)?was the fourth-leading kickoff returner in the BIG EAST Conference.

2000 Season
Started all 11 games at wide receiver plus the Aloha Bowl?was the second-leading receiver on the team with 26 receptions for 386 yards and three touchdowns...made a career-high five receptions for 74 yards vs. Temple (Nov. 4)...made three receptions in four consecutive games with 33 receiving yards vs. Pittsburgh (Oct. 21), 53 receiving yards vs. Syracuse (Oct. 14), 107 receiving yards and one touchdown vs. Connecticut (Oct. 7) and 33 yards and two TDs vs. Virginia Tech (Sept. 30)...had three receptions for 20 yards vs. Notre Dame (Nov. 11)...also had two catches for 19 yards against West Virginia and two for 24 vs. Rutgers (Oct. 28) highs are the 107 yards against UConn and a 75-yard reception vs. the Huskies....had one reception for six yards in the Aloha Bowl vs. Arizona State.

1999 Season
Played in all 11 games for the Eagles plus the Bowl?caught 11 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns?had season-best day in BC's win over Notre Dame; hauled in two passes for 56 yards, both of which went for the first touchdowns of his career?had two catches for 81 yards, including a season-long 50-yard reception against West Virginia?hauled in a 43-yard pass against Northeastern.

1998 Season Redshirted.

High School
Earned USA Today All-America honorable mention honors as a senior wide receiver at Brockton High School...was a PrepStar All-America selection...captured all-state honors...earned all-scholastic honors from the Boston Globe, Boston Herald and Brockton Enterprise...made 40 receptions for 888 yards and 13 touchdowns in 1997...played on both sides of the ball for head coach Armond Colombo, making 20 tackles and five interceptions from his cornerback slot...made 16 catches for 344 yards and five touchdowns in five games as a junior...was also a standout on Brockton's basketball and track teams; was the leading scorer in the Big Three basketball conference as a in the long and talented list of Brockton High School products to bring their skills to BC?a fine athlete who has a 38-inch vertical jump.

Jamal Antwon Burke, born April 24, 1980?enrolled as a communications major in the College of Arts & Sciences...was selected as the 1998 Peer Leader of the Year by the Boys & Girls Club of Brockton...Jamal is the son of Sheila Wilson; he has three sisters and one brother.
