On the Watch List for the 2007 Bronko Nagurski Trophy, which is awarded to the best defensive player in college football...enters his second season as a captain; will serve along with Matt Ryan, Gosder Cherilus and Nick Larkin...originally recruited as a running back, Dunbar was converted to linebacker and enjoyed an outstanding redshirt freshman year; he cemented himself on the two-deep at linebacker as a sophomore and was made a captain during his junior campaign...his 92 total tackles in 2006 led the team...has 179 career tackles, including 111 solo stops; also has 15.0 career tackles for loss.

2006 Season

Started in 11 games; missed the Buffalo and Miami games due to injury...junior tri-captain had a team-high 92 tackles, including 50 solo stops...recorded 7.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sack, one interception...tied an NCAA Division 1-A record in the Maryland game after returning two fumble recoveries for touchdowns (14 and 38 yards); also made 14 tackles against the Terrapins and was named National Defensive Player of the Week and ACC Defensive Line Player of the Week for his effort ... earned ACC Defensive Line Player of the Week Honors after recording eight stops (two solo) and returning an interception for 31 yards in win over Virginia Tech...named MVP of the Meineke Car Care Bowl against Navy after recording 14 tackles (10 solo), including a career-high 4.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sack; also recovered a fumble with less than two minutes remaining in the contest that helped BC earn its seventh consecutive bowl victory...recorded seven tackles (four solo), had a forced fumble, and blocked an extra point in overtime to seal the victory over Clemson... had eight tackles (three solo) and a pass break-up against Central Michigan...had ten tackles (six solo) against BYU...registered seven stops (four solo), including 1.0 sack at North Carolina State...made seven tackles (four solo) including 1.0 tackle for loss against Maine...led the team in tackles with seven (three solo), including 1.5 tackles for loss at Florida State...had four tackles (one solo) at Wake Forest...made six tackles (four solo) against Duke.

2005 Season

Played in all 12 games, making one start (at Maryland)...registered 50 tackles (37 solos), 0.5 quarterback sack, five tackles for loss, three pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery; returned the Maryland fumble a school-record 94 yards for a touchdown...recorded four solo tackles in the season opener at Brigham Young...was credited with two solo tackles at Clemson...registered five tackles (three solos) and one pass breakup against Virginia...made seven tackles - five solos and two assists - at Virginia Tech...recorded six tackles, including five unassisted and two tackles for loss (for four yards) at North Carolina...tallied five tackles (two solos), including a shared quarterback sack, against North Carolina State...started in place of the injured Brian Toal at Maryland; totaled three tackles (one unassisted), two pass breakups and a 94-yard fumble recovery (for a touchdown)...recorded a team-best 10 tackles (nine unassisted), 1.5 tackles for loss and one forced fumble against Boise State in the MPC Computers Bowl.

2004 Season

Played in 10 games...registered 37 tackles (24 solos), 2.5 tackles for loss, two pass breakups and one forced fumble...made his collegiate debut at Ball State where he had one pass deflection...recorded seven tackles, including a team-best five solo stops, against Penn State; also notched one forced fumble and one pass deflection...made three solo tackles and one assisted tackle against Connecticut...had two unassisted tackles and two assisted tackles at Wake Forest...registered a team-high six tackles - four solos and two assists - at Massachusetts; had one tackle for loss...missed the Pittsburgh game because of a leg injury; returned to record two solo tackles, one assist and one tackle for loss at Notre Dame...had three solo stops and two assists against Rutgers...missed the Temple game with a hamstring injury, but made his way back into the lineup to register four tackles (two unassisted) against Syracuse...made three tackles (one solo) and one tackle for loss against North Carolina in the Continental Tire Bowl.

2003 Season

Earned All-State Class AA first team honors as a senior running back at Thomas J. Corcoran High School; also played linebacker...gained SuperPrep All-America honors...earned All-East accolades from Tom Lemming...named Central New York Co-Player of the Year in 2002...rushed for 2,182 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior; finished his career with 5,136 rushing yards and 55 touchdowns - both school records...registered 83 tackles, two sacks and four forced fumbles as a senior...led Corcoran to a 9-2 record and the Section 3 Class AA title in 2002...captured All-State second team honors as a junior...was a four-year starter for head coach Tim Schmidt.
