Earned all-state honors as a junior (offensive tackle) and a senior (offensive guard) at Westbrook High School; also played defensive tackle...was the 1998 recipient of the Gerry Raymond Award, given annually to the most outstanding lineman in Maine...registered 55 tackles, 24 pancake blocks, and five sacks as a senior...recorded 50 tackles, 22 pancake blocks and three sacks in 1998...served as the team captain as a junior and a senior...played for head coach Jim Collelo...played in the 1999 Shriners Football Classic...was among the recipients of the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award...also competed in track, baseball and basketball.
