Earned All-State and All-Area accolades as a junior and senior tight end/outside linebacker at Walled Lake Western High School...captured All-County Dream Team honors and All-League recognition as a senior, leading his team to the 1996 Class AA state title...rated by SuperPrep magazine...gained All-Midwest recognition from several recruiting publications... averaged 10 sacks per year in each of his last two seasons... blocked three kicks in his final season...averaged 27 yards per reception in 1995...played for head coach Chuck Apap...also played two years on the school's basketball team and four years on its baseball team...earned All-Division pitching recognition as a junior, finishing with a 7-0 mark.
