Earned All-State honors as a senior tight end at Jesuit High School in Tampa...also captured All-County, All-City and All-Suncoast accolades...gained All-Southeast Region recognition from the G&W Recruiting Report and The National Recruiting Advisor...served as team co-captain as a junior and senior...set school records for single-season receptions by a tight end in 1995 and 1996; made 45 catches for 759 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior...raised his numbers to 59 catches for 903 yards and 10 TDs as a senior...helped Jesuit earn state playoff berths in each of his four seasons ...played for head coach Dominick Ciao...a major league baseball prospect who earned All-America second team honors at first base as a senior; also gained All-State, All-Suncoast, All-County and All-City accolades.

Cervi, born October 18, 1979...enrolled in the Carroll School of Management...comes from a family of fine athletes; his father was drafted by the New York Mets in 1965; his uncle, Al Cervi, is a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame; and his uncle, Dick Cassiano, was a member of the University of Pittsburgh's "Dream Backfield of 1938"...Josh and his two older sisters are the children of Betti and John Cervi.
