1998 Season: Saw action in eight games...spent majority of time as the backup center to Damien Woody.
1997 Season: Made transition from guard to center in spring drills, where he remained established in the lineup throughout the season...made two starts -- at Rutgers and Syracuse.
1996 Season: Began the year as the No. 2 guard behind All-Conference senior Mark Nori, but a pesky neck injury during pre-season practice kept him on the sidelines and limited his playing time throughout the season.

High School: Earned All-Region honors from Blue Chip Illustrated, Super Prep and the Prep Football Report...earned All-Scholastic recognition from the Boston Globe, Boston Herald and the Quincy Patriot Ledger...was a USA Today honorable mention selection...played offensive and defensive line for head coach Jack Raymer at Quincy High School, serving as team captain as a senior...was a two-time Old Colony League all-star...recorded 65 solo tackles, 50 assists, 11 sacks and four pass breakups as a senior...also competed on the school's track and field team; earned All-League shot put honors in indoor track as a junior and qualified for the state meet in the shot and discus during his senior outdoor season.
Personal: Augustus Joseph Palaza, born January 24, 1977...enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences, where he has decided to make communication his academic major...an honor roll student who served as a camp counselor in the Camp Wing Program, a program for Quincy seventh-grade students...Butch is the son of Judy Ann and Augustus Palaza.
