High School: Earned Prep Football Report and Blue Chip Illustrated All-America honors as a senior at Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School...captured All-Region accolades from Super Prep and All-America honorable mention honors from Street & Smith's...earned All-WPIAL first team honors in 1994, and All-WPIAL second team honors in 1993...made 13 receptions for 251 yards as a senior...completed his career with 26 catches for 452 yards and four touchdowns...made 130 tackles, 10 sacks, four fumble recoveries and one interception in three years as a defensive tackle; also forced five fumbles...was a member of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Fabulous 22...was an All-State second team selection by the Associated Press...played in the Big 33 (Pennsylvania-Ohio) All-Star Game in Hershey, Pa. in July 1995...played for head coach John Fischetti...also competed in track and basketball.
