Broke his left ankle in the Virginia Tech game, then missed the rest of the 2002 regular season?was well on his way to a career night in that game ? registered nine tackles (seven solos), three TFLs and two QB sacks before departing in the first half??Tone? was voted tri-captain (along with Brian St. Pierre and Vinny Ciurciu) by his teammates?leader of the BC defensive line?had started every game at right end?excellent game vs. Connecticut featured eight solos, one assist, a sack and a pass breakup?five solos, two assists and two sacks vs. Stanford?one solo, three assists vs. Miami in the Orange Bowl?three solos, one assists and one TFL vs. Central Michigan.

2001 Season
Started the first eight games of the season at right defensive end, before suffering a neck injury vs. Notre Dame and missing the final three games of the regular season and the Music City Bowl?finished as the sixth-leading tackler on the team with 57 stops and made nine tackles for a loss with five quarterback sacks?had a career-high 11 tackles at Virginia Tech (Oct. 13) and also had 10 tackles at Navy (Sept. 22)?also had nine tackles vs. Notre Dame (Oct. 27) with three for a loss, including two quarterback sacks?also had one interception vs. Virginia Tech, which he returned 49 yards.

2000 Season
Suffered a season-ending injury in the '00 opener at West Virginia on the first defensive series of the game...was named by many periodicals to preseason all-BIG EAST teams in 2000.

1999 Season
Played in all 11 games, including three starts, plus the bowl game? ?huge day vs. Virginia Tech - 10 tackles?recorded 61 tackles (36 unassisted), including six tackles behind the line?registered two sacks, broke up a pass, hurried the quarterback on four occasions and forced a fumble?recorded six tackles, a tackle for loss and a sack against Notre Dame?had a break-through performance at Syracuse; had nine tackles (seven unassisted), two tackles for loss and deflected a pass?had six tackles (five unassisted) and a tackle for loss at Rutgers?registered four tackles, a sack and two QB pressures against Northeastern.

1998 Season
Finished the year strong, contributing in the final eight games of the season...finished with 19 total tackles, 11 of those solos...one tackle for loss...one pass break-up and two quarterback hurries.

High School
Earned PrepStar All-America and all-New Jersey group III honors as a senior defensive end at Rahway High School...was a three-time all-Union County selection, capturing first-team accolades in 1997...had 73 unassisted tackles, 68 assists and 10 sacks in his final season...finished his schoolboy career with 38 sacks...played in the first-ever New Jersey-New York Governor's Bowl and the New Jersey North-South all-star game...served as team captain for head coach Mike Punko...an outstanding wrestler who was the National High School Coaches' Association 275-pound national champion as a senior; also won the New York state title in that weight class.

Antonio Garay, born November 30, 1979...enrolled in the Carroll School of Management with a major in marketing...was involved in the peer leadership program, the school newspaper and yearbook at Rahway...Antonio is the oldest of Marsha and Antonio Garay's three children?.a two-sport star for BC, he is a two-time wrestling All-American; he finished fourth in the heavy weight class at the 2000 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships and he was a quarterfinalist in 2001...he also won the award for most falls in the least amount of time (three in 8:54) at the 2000 NCAA Championship?returned to the wrestling team in 2001 and began competition in February...did not compete in wrestling in 2001-2002?as a freshmen, earned 1998-99 East Coast Wrestling Association all-freshman team honors?he finished the wrestling season with a 20-2 overall record after going 1-2 in the 1999 NCAA Championship?he was undefeated in ECWA competition and won his first 19 collegiate matches.
