Women's Epee Squad Leads Fencing At Brandeis University

Waltham, MASS. - Boston College Fencing took on teams from Brandeis, MIT, St. John's, Vassar and Brown today. The meet was held at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
The women's epee squad was the bright point of an otherwise disappointing day for Boston College's fencing team. Junior Kate Boyle and freshman Tiffany White were each 10-4 on the day as the women's team beat Vassar, came up short in close 13-14 matches against Brandeis and Brown, and fell to MIT and national champions St. John's.
Sophomore foilist Paul Taylor and junior Dave Moyston in epee had the only winning records on the men's side, going 10-5 and 8-7, respectively. The men beat Vassar, lost a close 13-14 match against Brandeis, and fell to MIT, Brown, and St. John's.
Boston College fencing will return to action after the semester break, hosting a meet on January 26th in the Flynn Recreational Complex at Boston College. Present at the meet will be teams from MIT, Brandeis and Brown.
