Brady Heslip, a 6-foot-2-inch guard from Burlington, Ontario who signed with the Eagles last month, will be enrolling at Boston College in January 2010. Heslip will be joining the basketball team later this month (at the conclusion of the 2009-10 fall semester). The announcement was made by Boston College head coach Al Skinner.
Heslip is currently playing at the New Hampton (N.H.) School. He averaged 28 points and four assists per game at Burlington, Ontario's Nelson High School in 2008-09. He led the Lords to the AAA/AAAA district championship game, where he tallied 26 points. This past summer, Heslip gained greater notoriety while playing with Grassroots Canada.
Heslip is one of three student-athletes who signed with the Eagles during the early-signing period in November. BC also signed 6-foot-10-inch forward Kevin Noreen (Minnesota Transitions Charter School) and 6-foot-9-inch forward Papa Samba Ndao (Montverde (Fla.) Academy).
Boston College (6-4) returns to action on Sunday, Dec. 20 against Bryant. Game time is 4 p.m. in Conte Forum.
