Men's Basketball Signs Three Players

Three high-school standouts - 6-foot-4-inch guard Dallas Elmore, 6-foot-3-inch guard Reggie Jackson and 6-foot-8-inch forward Evan Ravenel - have signed national letters of intent to play basketball at Boston College, according to an announcement by Boston College head coach Al Skinner. All three players will enroll at BC in September 2008 and begin play during the 2008-09 season.
Elmore, a standout at Fort Collins (Colo.) Poudre High School, averaged 23.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game as a junior in 2006-07. He shot 53 percent from the field and 84 percent from the foul line. Elmore also plays in the Colorado Select AAU program.
Jackson, who plays at Colorado Springs (Colo.) Palmer High School, averaged 22.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game last winter. He earned Colorado Springs Gazette All-Area first-team honors. Jackson also plays in the Colorado Select AAU program.
Ravenel, a power forward who plays at Brandon (Fla.) High School, averaged 7.8 points and 5.3 rebounds for the Eagles in 2006-07. He also played for the Tampa Fastbreak AAU team that competed in the AAU 17U Nationals in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., this past summer. He averaged 14 points and 11 rebounds per game with his AAU club.
Boston College (4-0) returns to action on Wednesday, Nov. 28 against Michigan. Game time is 7 p.m. in Ann Arbor, Mich.
