Men's Basketball Releases 2013-14 Schedule

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College men's basketball team and the ACC released the 2013-14 schedule, which features 31 games and 18 conference matchups.
The schedule will test the mettle of the Eagles as they host four non-conference games, the fewest since the 1996-97 season. BC will play nine non-conference contests on the road or at neutral sites, including the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project.
The schedule features 14 games televised on the ESPN family of networks and additional games could be added to the list.
Boston College will open the campaign at the Dunkin' Donuts Center to take on Providence on Nov. 8. A couple of days later, the Eagles will take on Massachusetts in the Coaches vs. Cancer Boston Tip-Off at TD Garden.
BC opens the home schedule by hosting Toledo (Nov. 14) in the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project. The championship rounds of the tournament begin Nov. 21 at Madison Square Garden where BC and Connecticut will square off for the first time since 2005.
A pair of road games at Purdue (Dec. 4) and USC (Dec. 8) precede the ACC opener on Dec. 12 when Boston College hosts Maryland for the final time as a conference member.
BC and VCU will compete in the BROOKLYN HOOPS Winter Festival at Barclays Center on Dec. 28 and then the Eagles will take on Harvard on New Year's Day in Cambridge.
The Eagles begin the rest of their ACC schedule by hosting Clemson on Jan. 4. Other conference home games include: Syracuse (Jan. 13), Georgia Tech (Jan. 21), Virginia Tech (Jan. 29), Duke (Feb. 8), Notre Dame (Feb. 16), Pittsburgh (Feb. 26) and Florida State (March 4).
BC will be on the road at Virginia Tech (Jan. 11), North Carolina (Jan. 18), Notre Dame (Feb. 1), Virginia (Feb. 5), Georgia Tech (Feb. 12), Syracuse (Feb. 19), Miami (Feb. 22), Wake Forest (March 1) and NC State (March 9).
The 2014 ACC Tournament begins on March 12 at the Greensboro Coliseum.
