Reggie Jackson Selected By Oklahoma City With 24th Pick In NBA Draft

Boston College guard Reggie Jackson was selected by the Oklahoma City Thunder with the 24th pick in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft.

Jackson is the ninth Boston College player to have been selected in the first round. The previous eight Eagles were Gerry Ward in 1963, Terry Driscoll in 1969, John Bagley in 1982, Dana Barros in 1989, Bill Curley in 1994, Troy Bell in 2003, and Jared Dudley and Sean Williams in 2007.

Jackson earned 2010-11 All-ACC first-team honors. He also captured USBWA All-District I honors, NABC All-District 2 accolades and Associated Press All-America honorable mention honors.

The junior averaged 18.1 points, 4.3 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game in 16 conference contests this past season. The Colorado Springs, Colo., resident ranked among ACC leaders in seven categories (conference games only): scoring (fourth), assists (third), free-throw percentage (second, .870), field-goal percentage (seventh, .471), three-point field-goal percentage (sixth, .398), three-point field goals made (ninth, 2.1) and minutes played per game (tied-eighth, 33.3).
