Boston College men's basketball head coach Steve Donahue announced Wednesday that junior guard Alex Dragicevich will join the Eagles after transferring from Notre Dame.
The 6-7, 221-pound guard will sit out the 2012-13 season.
Dragicevich was one of three Notre Dame players to appear in all 34 games during the 2011-12 season. He also made 10 starts and averaged 6.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. The Northbrook, IL product shot 34.2 percent from beyond the arc (40-for-117) and scored in double figures seven times.
His most impressive performance of the season came against Pittsburgh in the Big East opener. He scored a career-high 22 points on 8-for-13 shooting from the floor. Dragicevich led all scorers in a 72-59 upset of the No. 22 Panthers. He was named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll for his effort.
Dragicevich averaged 5.2 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 48 career appearances at Notre Dame.
