Boston College will participate in the 2009 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam tournament from Nov. 20-23. The Eagles will play Saint Joseph's in the opening round on Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.

Joining BC and Saint Joseph's in the 2009 event are DePaul, East Carolina, Northern Iowa, Purdue, South Dakota State and Tennessee.

This year's event marks the 10th annual Paradise Jam. The Eagles also played in the 2003 Paradise Jam, defeating Appalachian State, Monmouth and Wichita State to claim the title. Craig Smith earned tourney MVP honors.

Four of this year's tournament entrants - BC, Purdue, Tennessee and Northern Iowa - earned berths to the 2009 NCAA Tournament.
