Boston College will play Michigan in Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor, Mich., on Wednesday, Dec. 2 in the 11th annual Big Ten-ACC Challenge. The announcement was made by the two conferences and by ESPN.
The game will mark the Eagles' fourth appearance in the Big 10-ACC Challenge. BC defeated Michigan State, 65-58, in Conte Forum on Nov. 29, 2006; defeated Michigan, 77-64, in Crisler Arena on Nov. 28, 2007; and downed Iowa, 57-55, in Conte Forum on Dec. 2, 2008.
The game will mark the fifth-ever meeting between BC and Michigan. BC holds a 3-1 lead in the series. The Eagles have won each of the last three meetings.
For the fifth consecutive year, 11 schools from each conference will participate in pursuit of the Commissioner's Cup. ESPN and ESPN2 will combine to televise nine games, while ESPNU will carry the remaining two games.
The ACC has won each of the 10 Challenges played to date with ACC teams winning 62 of the 97 games. Duke (10-0) and BC (3-0) are the only undefeated teams in Challenge play.
