Hanlan Named To All-ACC Third Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Sophomore Olivier Hanlan has been named to the All-ACC Third Team by both the coaches and the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association (ACSMA), announced today by the Atlantic Coast Conference office.
Junior Ryan Anderson was an honorable mention selection by ACSMA.
Hanlan ranks third in the ACC in scoring (18.6), sixth in free throw percentage (.819) and seventh in field goal percentage (.450). He scored in double figures in 29 of the 31 regular-season games and had 12 games of 20 or more points. In conference action, Hanlan ranked second in scoring (18.4) and fourth in field goal percentage (.460). The Aylmer, Quebec product scored 38 points against Florida Atlantic earlier in the season which marked the third-most points scored in a game this year.
Joining Hanlan on the ACSMA third team was Joe Harris (Virginia), Rion Brown (Miami), Dez Wells (Maryland) and Daniel Miller (Georgia Tech).
Anderson ranks ninth in the ACC in rebounding (7.1) and 11th in scoring (14.3). He reached double-figure scoring in 25 of the 31 games this season and had seven games of 20 or more points. He also had six games of double-digit rebounds and recorded four double-doubles.
The All-ACC First Team consisted of Jabari Parker (Duke), T.J. Warren (NC State), Marcus Paige (North Carolina), C.J. Fair (Syracuse) and K.J. McDaniels (Clemson). Parker and Warren were unanimous selections.
The second-team included Malcolm Brogdon (Virginia), Lamar Patterson (Pittsburgh), Tyler Ennis (Syracuse), Rodney Hood (Duke) and James Michael McAdoo (North Carolina).
The Eagles will face Georgia Tech on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in the opening round of the 2014 ACC Tournament at the Greensboro Coliseum.
