BC HOSTS SEMINOLES IN LAST HOME GAME
Boston College will host Florida State on Tuesday night at 9 p.m. in the final game of the season at Conte Forum.
It will be the last game in Chestnut Hill for senior Danny Rubin, who has appeared in 87 career games.
It will be the first and only meeting this season between the two teams.
BC is 5-1 in March in the last two seasons. Last year, the Eagles went 4-1 in March to close out the season. They won the last three games of the regular season and then went 1-1 in the ACC Tournament.
BC won on the road at Wake Forest on Saturday, 80-72.
Florida State has won its last two games and has also been victorious in its last two away games.
The Seminoles won last year's meeting in Tallahassee, 66-63.
BC DEFEATS WAKE FOREST ON THE ROAD
Junior Ryan Anderson scored a game-high 24 points to go along with seven rebounds to lead BC to an 80-72 win at Wake Forest on Saturday.
He was 14-for-16 from the foul line.
Sophomore Olivier Hanlan scored 17 points while junior Lonnie Jackson added 12.
Junior Patrick Heckmann had 10 points and five boards.
Junior KC Caudill played a career-high 23 minutes and recorded seven rebounds and five points.
BC held a 30-24 lead at halftime.
The Demon Deacons held a 42-40 lead, but BC scored eight unanswered points in a 16-3 run to take a 56-45 lead with 9:50 left. Anderson and Heckmann combined for 11 points in that stretch.
Wake Forest scored the next five points to make it 56-51, but could not come back the rest of the way.
Wake cut the lead to 66-63, but Anderson scored the game's next five points to put the game out of reach.
LAST TIME vs. FLORIDA STATE
Olivier Hanlan scored 19 points and Ryan Anderson notched his seventh double-double this season, but Boston College lost at Florida State, 69-66, on February 16, 2013 at the Donald L. Tucker Center.
Hanlan was 6-for-13 from the field and hit three 3-pointers. Anderson recorded 10 points and 11 rebounds to go along with three assists. Joe Rahon had eight points and five assists while Patrick Heckmann added 10 points.
The Eagles battled back from a 60-53 deficit with four minutes remaining and had a chance to send the game into overtime. The Seminoles' Terry Whisnant hit one of two free throws with five seconds left to make the FSU lead 69-66. Anderson got an open look from three that bounced off the front rim to end the game.
After trailing 31-26 at halftime, Boston College scored the second half's first five points to tie the game. Florida State responded immediately with five unanswered points of its own, but Anderson tied the game again at the 14:00 mark when he converted a three-point play to make it 42-42.
The Eagles took their first lead of the game, 45-42, when Heckmann hit a 3-pointer, but Florida State then went on a decisive 12-2 run to take a 54-47 lead with 8:06 remaining. The Seminoles still had a seven-point lead with 2:45 left before BC grinded its way back into the game.
Hanlan hit a pair of free throws with 24 seconds left to pull the Eagles within two, 66-64, but that is as close as they got.
Michael Snaer led all scorers with 21 points for Florida State. Okaro White had 13 points and eight boards while Devon Bookert had eight assists.
