CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Freshman Olivier Hanlan was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week, announced Monday by the conference office.
It marks BC's fourth ACC Rookie of the Week accolade, which leads the conference. Hanlan has earned the award three times and classmate Joe Rahon has also been recognized. Hanlan and Rahon have swept the honors since ACC play started in the beginning of January.
Hanlan continued his impressive play in ACC action as he recorded 17 points, four rebounds and four assists in Boston College's only game last week against Miami. Hanlan went 6-for-10 from the field and reached the 17-point mark for the third-straight game.
The Aylmer, Quebec product leads all freshmen and ranks 14th in the ACC in points per game (13.6). His 15.5 points per game in conference contests is 10th overall.
