GAME NOTES: Boston College shot 60.8 percent from the field, its best single-game field-goal percentage since shooting 61.2 percent against Long Island University on Dec. 29, 1994 ... The last time the Eagles hit a higher percentage in a BIG EAST contest was Jan. 4, 1994 -- shooting 63.0 percent against Villanova ... The Eagles' three senior captains combined for 58 of the team's 78 points (74.4 percent) and 18 rebounds (60.0 percent) in the win over the Friars ... Freshman forward Jonathan Beerbohm had an impressive BIG EAST debut, finishing with nine points (4-for-6 FG) and four rebounds in 29 minutes ... Sophomore walk-on guard Dwayne Pina contributed two points, two rebounds and two assists in 17 minutes of action ... Duane Woodward recorded six assists in the win, his fifth straight game in six or more assists ... Antonio Granger led all BIG EAST players in three-point field goal percentage last winter, so no one doubts his long-range shooting ability. Granger, however, is giving 'long range' a new meaning. After sinking a 40-foot shot just before the halftime buzzer against Arizona in the Maui Invitational, the senior hit a 43-footer in the second half against the Friars.
