Men's Basketball Loses At Purdue, 88-67

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Junior Ryan Anderson scored 16 points as the Boston College men's basketball team lost at Purdue on Wednesday night, 88-67, in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge at Mackey Arena.
Anderson also brought in six rebounds. Sophomore Olivier Hanlan had 15 points to go along with eight boards. Junior Alex Dragicevich scored 13 points while classmate Eddie Odio had his most complete game of the season with seven points, six rebounds and three blocks.
The two teams were tied midway through the first half, 20-20, before Purdue went on a 21-5 run over the next six minutes to take a 41-25 lead with 4:31 to go. Kendall Stephens had the first eight points of the run.
The Boilermakers took a 49-34 lead into the half and maintained that lead the rest of the way. The closest BC got was 13 points which it did twice.
Terone Johnson led all scorers with 18 for Purdue (7-2). Ronnie Johnson had 15 points and six assists, and Jay Simpson tallied eight points and eight rebounds.
BC (3-5) is back in action on Sunday when it takes on USC in Los Angeles at 7 p.m. ET.
