CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Sophomore forward Shamari Spears tallied 12 points and 11 rebounds and freshman swingman Rakim Sanders netted a team-high 16 points to lead Boston College to a 70-47 exhibition victory over Carleton University in Conte Forum.

Sophomore forward Tyler Roche scored 13 points and freshman guard Biko Paris rounded out BC's list of double-figure scorers with 11 points.

BC shot 45.8 percent from the field, while limiting the visiting Ravens to 27.0 percent shooting.

After a Carleton field goal with 7:12 remaining in the game trimmed the BC led to two points (47-45), BC held the visitors scoreless for just shy of seven minutes while reeling off 23 straight points to secure the victory. Spears scored seven points, while Sanders and Paris each added six points in this decisive stretch.

BC led 35-27 at halftime. Roche shot 4-for-5 from the floor in the opening half, hitting 2-of-3 from three-point range.

Boston College opens the regular season against New Hampshire on Saturday, Nov. 10. Game time is 4 p.m. in Conte Forum.

Game Notes: BC outrebounded Carleton, 40-37 ... All 12 active BC players saw game action, with nine of the 12 playing 16 or more minutes ... Roche led BC with three three-point field goals.
