    HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Boston College went on the first extended run of the game with it tied, 10-10. The Eagles scored seven straight as part of a 12-1 run over more than five minutes to take a 22-11 lead with 7:31 left. Anderson had four points in that span.
  • The Eagles defense held Wake Forest without a field goal for 6:57 from when that run started.
  • Wake stopped the run by scoring the next five points to cut the lead to five points.
  • BC went into the locker room with a 30-24 lead.
  • The Demon Deacons held a 42-40 lead, but BC scored eight unanswered points in a 16-3 run to take a 56-45 lead with 9:50 left. Anderson and Heckmann combined for 11 points in that stretch.
  • Wake Forest scored the next five points to make it 56-51, but could not come back the rest of the way.
