DURHAM, N.C. - Sophomore Ryan Anderson scored a team-high 23 points as Boston College fell to No. 6/6 Duke, 89-68, in Cameroon Indoor Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Anderson shot 8-of-13 from the floor and 7-of-10 from the free throw line. Sophomore Patrick Heckmann scored 15 points, and freshman Olivier Hanlan netted 12.

After the Eagles took an early 5-3 lead, the Blue Devils went on a 10-0 run to take a 15-5 edge with 12:23 left in the first half. Three straight points from Anderson cut Duke's advantage to 17-9, but the hosts responded with nine unanswered points to claim a 26-9 edge with just under eight minutes to go in the half.

Leading 32-15, the Blue Devils went on a 13-4 spurt to push their lead to 45-19 with 1:49 left in the period as a Heckmann 3-pointer marked BC's only field goal during the stretch. Inside of the last two minutes, 3-pointers from Heckmann and Hanlan plus a layup from Anderson trimmed Duke's lead to 51-27 at the break.

Duke increased its lead to 60-30 before the Eagles scored six straight points to pull within 60-36 just under five minutes into the second half. The Blue Devils countered with seven consecutive points, but BC then went on a 10-0 run to make it 67-46 with just over 10 minutes to play. A 3-point play from Anderson highlighted the stretch.

Another 3-point play from Anderson kept BC within 21, 76-55, before Duke used a 10-2 run to gain an 86-57 edge with just under four minutes left. The Eagles outscored the Blue Devils 11-3 to close the game with Heckmann scoring seven points during that stretch.

Rasheed Sulaimon led Duke (24-3, 11-3 ACC) with 27 points. Mason Plumlee recorded 19 points and 15 rebounds while Amile Jefferson, Quinn Cook, and Seth Curry tallied 14, 12, and 11 points respectively.

Next, Boston College (12-15, 4-10 ACC) plays at NC State on Wednesday at 8 p.m. (ACC Network).
