Men's Basketball Lose to Georgetown

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Senior forward Antonio Granger scored 24 points and junior forward Kostas Maglos recorded his eighth point-rebound double-double of the season (17 points, 10 rebounds) to lead Boston College in an 84-67 loss to Georgetown in the new MCI Center.
The Eagles shot 65.0 percent from the floor in the first half, but trailed 41-33 at halftime. BC made 13 of 20 field-goal attempts in the first 20 minutes. Georgetown shot a lower percentage, but used its rebounding strength to get 19 more attempts and make three more field goals.
Georgetown extended its lead to 12 points early in the second half, before BC used a 10-2 run to close the Hoya lead to 52-48 with 12:52 remaining. BC could get no closer.
BC committed 22 turnovers and were outrebounded, 39-33.
Senior Mickey Curley netted 13 points for the Eagles, while senior Duane Woodward added 11 points and five assists.
The Eagles conclude their regular-season schedule on Wednesday, February 24 with a home game against West Virginia. Game time is 7 p.m. in Conte Forum. The game will mark the final home game for the team's three seniors -- Curley, Granger and Woodward.
