Baseball Travels To No. 18 NC State

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College baseball team heads to Raleigh, N.C., to play a three-game series with 18th-ranked NC State.
Last week, the Eagles (14-23, 5-13 ACC) won one game against then-No. 1 Florida State, but fell to Rhode Island on Tuesday. The No. 18 Wolfpack (24-11, 11-7 ACC) took two-of-three from Clemson at the Tigers' home park last weekend but dropped an 8-6 decision at Campbell on Tuesday.
The Wolfpack holds a 13-5 series advantage over the Eagles since BC joined the ACC in 2006. NC State won the first nine games before the Eagles took two-of-three at home in 2009. In Raleigh, BC is 3-6, but swept the series in 2010.
Last season, NC State swept the three-game series, which wrapped of the 2011 season for BC. The Eagles dropped game one, 9-4, with current senior OF Marc Perdios went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. The Wolfpack took game two, 10-0, behind the strength of Cory Mazzoni, who threw 8.0 shutout innings and struck out 11 batters. In the third game, the Eagles fell, 6-1, with junior OF Matt McGovern driving in the only BC run.
