Baseball Wins Two of Three Games at Connecticut

Notes: The Eagles recorded a season-high 27 hits at J.O. Christian Field in Storrs. Senior catcher Jeff Waldron was 6-for-7 at the plate with four RBI (one home run). Sophomores Chris Rosado and Jarrett Mendoza each hit one home run. Sophomore Mike Hubbard and junior Mike Quirk had four hits apiece. Junior Brendan Nolan earned the win on the mound, working 5.0 innings. BC led 13-3, then saw UConn trim the lead to 13-8, before responding with nine runs in the top of the sixth inning to secure the win.

Saturday, May 1

Game 1: Connecticut 7, Boston College 6

Notes: Senior Mike Gambino and junior Stephen Langone each hit one home run.

Game 2: Boston College 11, Connecticut 8

Notes: BC trailed 8-1, before scoring 10 runs in the eighth inning to gain the victory Sophomore Joe Kealty was 3-for-5 at the plate (including one triple).

BCs Record: 21-19 (7-13 BIG EAST)
