Baseball Falls to Pittsburgh, 8-4

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College baseball team lost to Pittsburgh, 8-4, in a BIG EAST contest played in Pittsburgh, Penn.

Senior co-captain Jeff Waldron went 2-for-4 to lead the Eagles offense. Waldrons sixth home run of the season was a solo shot in the third inning.

Junior Eric Olson went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. On the mound, junior Brendan Nolan hurled seven innings, allowing six runs, and suffered his second loss of the season. Senior Paul Bibbo gave up two runs in his inning of work.

With the loss, BC falls to 17-18 overall, 5-12 in BIG EAST games. The Eagles return to action when they face Northeastern in the first round of the Beanpot Tournament. BC and Northeastern will play at 11 a.m. in Fenway Park.
