Chestnut Hill, Mass---The Boston College Eagles picked up their eight win over the season against the University of Rhode Island 16-4, on Wednesday afternoon at Shea Field.
Eight Eagles had multiple hit games, led by sophomore Mike Hubbard(Braintree, MA) with four hits and three runs batted in. Stephan Langone(Reading, MA) hit his second and third home run of the season as sophomore Chris Rosado connected for his firs round tripper of the season. The 23 hits by the Eagles improves their team batting average to .372.
After failing to score in the home half of the first, the Eagles scored in every other inning, breaking the game open with five runs in fourth.
Junior James Quiros(Jamaica Plain, MA) went five and two thirds innings allowing two runs on four hits, while striking out three with one walk.
Boston College will next play a doubleheader with Villanova on April 1. The first game starts at noon at Shea Field on the campus of Boston College.
