David Trainor, born February 19, 1980 … Played for the Towne Club in the 2000 summer Park League … did not play his sophomore year at BC.
AS A JUNIOR: Saw time in four games and made nine putouts at the catcher position … scored a run in BC’s exhibition game with the Red Sox (March 2).
AT TUFTS: Played in 17 games and batted .242 as a freshman catcher for the Jumbos … drove in seven runs on eight hits with a .273 slugging percentage.
BEFORE TU: Captained his senior year Archbishop Williams’ baseball squad, earning Boston Globe and Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic team honors … named the Catholic Central League’s MVP in that campaign … was an Adidas Area Code Games player during his junior season … voted CCL All-Star.
PERSONAL: Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences as a communications major … merited All-CCL honors in football … a National Honor Society member, he also tagged a perfect attendance record from grades 6-12 … David is the lone son of Kathleen and John Trainor’s three children.
