AS A JUNIOR: Made 10 appearances on the mound, nine of which were starts finished with a record of 1-5 with a 7.43 ERA placed second on the team in innings pitched (59.1), complete games (2), and strikeouts (34) picked up win against Valparaiso (March 3); went five innings, giving up four hits and a single earned run in the 20-4 Eagle victory went the distance in a tough 2-1 loss to Georgetown (April 3); gave up five hits and two earned runs in seven innings of work finished the season with two quality starts went eight innings against St. John's (May 7); surrendered four earned runs, while yielding only four hits and striking out five battled for eight innings in a 5-4 Eagle win over West Virginia (May 15); gave up four earned runs, while scattering nine hits and striking out three.

BEFORE BC: Was a three-time All-Middlesex League selection as a pitcher at Winchester High School ... served as team captain as a senior ... registered an 8-2 record and a 0.81 earned run average as a junior ... also played on the school's football and basketball teams; was the football team's quarterback and captain ... captained the basketball team that captured the Eastern Massachusetts title.
