AS A JUNIOR: Played in 42 games, starting 37 finished the season with a .347 batting average (41-for-118) smacked nine home runs, good for third on the team stroked two home runs in each of two games drove in 20 runs, while scoring 36 had 14 multiple-hit games, including two games with three hits recorded eight multiple RBI games, including one game with four RBIs enjoyed a 2-for-3 day with two home runs, three RBIs, and three runs scored against Providence (April 7) followed that effort up by going 3-for-4 with two home runs, a pair of RBIs, and three runs scored two games later at Notre Dame (April 17); went 6-for-13 with two home runs, two RBIs, and five runs scored in that series at ND (April 17-April 18) went 2-for-3 with two runs scored against national power Arizona State (March 20).

AS A SOPHOMORE: Played in and started 19 games finished the season with a .220 batting average (13-for-59) ÂÂ?smacked only home run of the season - a two-run blast - in a 7-1 win over Seton Hall on March 27 registered two hits in a 10-9 loss at St. John's on March 23.

AS A FRESHMAN: Played in 32 games, making 30 starts saw action in 17 BIG EAST contests, starting 16 finished the season with a .339 batting average registered 38 hits in 112 official plate appearances had nine doubles and three home runs ranked among team leaders in batting average (fifth), doubles (fourth), and home runs (tied for team lead) enjoyed 12 multiple-hit games and four multiple-RBI contests was 3-for-4 with one double and two runs scored in two different games - against Northeastern in the Beanpot at Fenway Park on April 18 and at New Hampshire on May 2 drove in six runs on two hits (including a home run) in a win over Edinboro on March 8.

BEFORE BC: Earned All-Conference honors as a junior and senior at Bishop O'Dowd High School was a two-year starter on the school's football team, earning All-America honors in 1994 concluded his schoolboy career as the school's career leader in quarterback completion percentage.

PERSONAL: Enrolled as a general management major in the Carroll School of Management spent two years (1990-92) at the Eaglebrook School in Deerfield, Mass. Eric is the middle of Gail and David Olson's three children.
