Made six appearances including four starts...finished with a 2-1 record...allowed only four extra-base hits (all doubles) in 22.0 innings...opponents hit only .225...picked up wins over Temple on March 7 and Quinnipiac on May 3.
As a Freshman (2004)
Appeared in six games, hurling 8.2 innings...made collegiate debut against La Salle on March 2, striking out all three batters he faced...surrendered just one hit in 2.1 innings of work against Rhode Island on April 6...picked up first career win over Rhode Island on May 19 with longest outing of the season, striking out two batters in three innings.
Played for James Sonju at Mayo...named the team Golden Arm (Best Pitcher) in 2003...also earned All-Region and All-Big Nine Conference honors...was all-state honorable mention his junior and senior seasons...served as team captain... participated on Team Minnesota...struck out a school-record 102 batters en route to a 7-4 record and 0.60 ERA his senior year...his junior season, totaled 94 strikeouts and a 7-0 mark...member of Mayo's state runner-up squad his sophomore season...also played football his first two years of high school.
