Played with Newport Gulls of New England Collegiate Baseball League during summer of 2004 and 2005...hit three HR's and started the All-Star Game at catcher...led team to the NECBL Championship.

Started 13 of 18 games played, going 11-for-43 at the plate (.256) with 10 runs scored and six RBI...went 2-for-3 with three runs scored vs. Valparaiso on March 6...had three hits against Harvard on April 15...had two hits and two RBI vs. Northeastern on April 23...also drove in two more runs against Seton Hall on April 27...threw out seven of 15 potential base stealers.
Drafted in the 45th round of the 2002 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft by the Anaheim Angels...named first-team all-state his senior year...garnered first-team all-division and Coaches Association all-star honors three times each...led state in stolen bases as a senior, with 21, and set a school record with four swipes in a single game...hit .484 over his career...two-year team captain...also captained basketball team for two years and the soccer team for one...earned first-team all-city accolades in basketball twice...named second-team all-state in soccer his junior year and first-team all-state as a senior...as a senior, received the Most Outstanding Student-Athlete and Leadership/Volunteering scholarships.
